I like to work with organizations that value social and environmental consciousness, and that want to move toward ways of being and doing that are both effective and egalitarian (maintaining the equivalence of each person in the organization - meaning each person has equal value, even though different people may play different roles). "I have participated in numerous meetings facilitated by Jake over the past two years. I enjoy these meetings because I sense that when Jake is facilitating he is in his element, and I love being present to his brilliance. Jake is remarkably clear and well organized, patient, and comes from a deep intention to be of service to the whole community. His use of the Sociocratic method for decision making opens up a way for each participant to be heard and for the best wisdom of the group to come forward. I have seen Jake facilitate meetings that were highly charged with misunderstandings and conflict, and have seen such meetings move through these difficulties to arrive a genuine sense of resolution that serves the whole. The result is that we have often moved from and "I, me, mine" mentality to a "we" consciousness."
