Introduction to Nonviolent Communication
Nonviolent Communication was created by Marshall B. Rosenberg, Ph.D. For more information on NVC you may contact the Center for Nonviolent Communication.

With: Jacob Gotwals, Ph.D.
Size: Six to ten participants.
Skill levels: Beginner.

Location: Albuquerque, NM (in Nob Hill).
Day and Time: Saturday or Sunday, from 2pm-4pm. I will schedule this seminar for a particular week after enough people sign up (see below).
Requested donation: $15 to $25, to support my livelihood and future work.

An introduction to Nonviolent Communication (NVC) in one afternoon - an overview of a simple but powerful approach for shifting to a less judgmental, more compassionate state of mind. Support emotional healing, resolve conflicts, and foster clear, compassionate communication in all your relationships - with partners, children, co-workers, and community members.

I will tailor the class to participants' needs, as we explore the basics of NVC, including observations, feelings, needs, requests, empathy, self-empathy, and honesty.

This seminar is for people age 18 and older, who are willing to agree to these guidelines. If you are interested in this seminar, sign up below (sign up for all the times that could work for you). After enough people are on a waiting list, I will choose what week(s) to offer the seminar, and I will send you an email letting you know how you can register for it.

A more in-depth exploration of NVC: a simple but powerful approach for shifting to a less judgmental, more compassionate state of mind. Support emotional healing, resolve conflicts, and foster clear, compassionate communication in all your relationships - with partners, children, co-workers, and community members.

My intention for this seminar is to provide an environment where we can all grow to more masterfully embody the consciousness and skill of Nonviolent Communication (NVC). I will tailor the seminar to the needs of the participants, so it will probably be different each time I offer it. We may cover aspects of both dialog work and self-connection work.

This seminar is for people age 18 and older, who are willing to agree to these guidelines, and who expect to be able to attend most of the group's 6 meetings (note: it is ok to drop out of the seminar at any time, if it is not working for you - but your registration fee is nonrefundable). People of all skill levels are welcome - I will adjust my approach based on the skill level of those who attend.
